Eri Shimatsuka (b. 1979) is Helsinki-based Japanese textile designer, writer and illustrator. She has graduated from master of arts, Aalto University in 2018. Her designs are inspired from Nordic nature and fragments of everyday life and she has written many books upon designs and everyday life in Japanese. She has designed print designs for different brands in Japan and Finland. ‘Kettu ja hiljaisuus’ (Otava, 2022) is her first illustrated book and it will be published in Japan in 2024.
